Hi my name is Heather Ingersoll. I run the podcast “A Real Food Journey” Late in 2012 I started my first food website, Easy Healthy Bread As I was learning how to market the website and get my recipes and videos out in front of people I started reading a lot more food websites. Somehow I stumbled upon a few real food websites. At the time I had no idea there was a whole movement behind it, I though it was pretty unique. So I kept reading, and as I read I found more and more of these websites. The more I read the more I was nodding me head during each post, with enthusiasm.
From there I went down the rabbit hole, I was still creating videos about bread but my ingredients that I was listing as healthy took a turn. I stopped using canola oil after I found some organic coconut oil at Costco. After a bit of research I was singing its delicious and healthy praises on my site. After a year of blogging about the healthiest bread I could dream up, I got the idea for a podcast.
Being an avid blog reader by this time, I had noticed that comments of blogs would be full of nastiness. It just wasn’t right! Even though we all have different diets, we are trying to be healthy and eat real, whole foods, why do we feel the need to hate on each other? It was the next day I set out to start my podcast. A place where I get to talk about food, my favorite things and learn from different people about what they eat, how and why they do it. Each guest inspires me in new and different ways, and I hope they will inspire you too!
