Everyone wants a keto food list. That way you can easily figure out if you are really eating keto or not. Below is a list of some great healthy fats that you can and should include in your diet. These fats are real food based and delicious.
Something essential to winning your keto diet is healthy fat. Hopefully you know this by now, but if not, you need fat to absorb vitamins, complete many body functions, and it’s what you are training your body to run on in a keto diet.
Additionally fat is what helps regulate your appetite and keep you full. Most people on a keto diet lose that feeling of being hungry all the time and can easily regulate their intake at meals, this is because of the higher fat intake. This process can take longer for some people than others, but it does usually happen!

What does enough fat look like?
Another common question on keto is- am I eating enough fat? If you are wondering this yourself, there is a good chance you are not eating enough fat! If you’re feeling hungry often, or even a little depleted between meals it could be you are restricting yourself too much.
Many people turn to keto for weight loss and they come with their calorie and food trackers in hand. While tracking does have its place for some people and personality types, I always recommend people put these tools away while they get fat adapted. You are literally re-training cells to burn fat for fuel and the adjustment is a lot easier if you eat plenty of fat to satiety. Once your hunger hormones have regulated you can go back to tracking if you must, but you might not need to! I’ve lost over 25 pounds without any tracking at all!
Back to what does a high fat meal look like? I have a great resource I’d like to point you to – It’s called What Does 30grams of Fat Look Like? The blog at perfect keto has said it better than I could. This is pretty eye opening stuff, as you can compare the fat from a ribeye, to ground beef, to chicken thighs or almonds and see how the protein grams change in 30 grams of fat. This is crucial information because the keto diet is moderate protein – too much can raise your blood sugar and insulin, thus kicking you out of ketosis! Wow! So many people struggle with keto because they consume too much protein. This handy little guide can help you make better decisions when eating out and stocking your fridge. Here’s the link again!
I hope this keto food list centered around healthy fats has helped you!
Cheers,
Heather
